Terms of Service
Last updated: January 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ReferView. By creating an account or using the platform you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use ReferView.
1. What ReferView Is
ReferView is a marketplace that connects job seekers ("Candidates") with verified employees ("Employees") who can submit internal referrals. ReferView facilitates introductions, payments, and dispute handling but is not an employer and does not guarantee interviews, offers, or employment.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. Employees must be currently employed at the company they represent and verify a valid corporate email address.
3. Referrals & No Guarantee
- A paid request entitles a Candidate to a genuine internal referral submission, not to any hiring outcome.
- Employees agree to submit referrals honestly and only for candidates they believe are appropriate.
- Buying or selling guaranteed interviews, offers, or confidential information is strictly prohibited.
4. Payments, Escrow & Fees
- Employees set their own consultation fee, typically between INR 29 and INR 999 per request.
- Referral fees are charged when a request is submitted and held in escrow.
- Funds are released to the Employee after the Candidate confirms the referral or the confirmation window expires.
- If an Employee rejects a request or fails to act within the response window, the payment is automatically refunded to the Candidate.
- ReferView charges a platform fee of 10% calculated on the Employee's consultation fee and added to the amount the Candidate pays. There are no subscription tiers or recurring charges for Candidates.
- ReferView also retains a commission from the Employee's consultation fee based on the Employee's reputation tier. Employees keep 85% (Bronze), 87% (Silver), and 90% (Gold and Platinum) of their set consultation fee; the remainder is retained by ReferView as a service commission.
- ReferView may be required to deduct Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) under applicable Indian tax laws (including but not limited to Section 194H or 194J of the Income Tax Act, 1961) on payouts to Employees. Where applicable, TDS will be deducted before remittance and a TDS certificate (Form 16A) will be issued. Employees are responsible for filing their own income tax returns.
5. Payout KYC
Before withdrawing earnings, Employees must complete identity verification (PAN KYC). Payouts are subject to a clearance period and a minimum withdrawal amount.
6. Disputes
If a Candidate believes a referral was not delivered as described, they may raise a complaint within the platform. ReferView will review available evidence and may refund, release, or split escrowed funds at its reasonable discretion.
7. Prohibited Conduct
- Misrepresenting your identity, employer, or eligibility.
- Sharing confidential or proprietary employer information.
- Circumventing ReferView to avoid fees.
- Harassment, fraud, or any unlawful activity.
8. Account Suspension
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraud, or create risk for other users. Funds associated with fraudulent activity may be withheld pending investigation.
9. Limitation of Liability
ReferView is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReferView is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost opportunities, or hiring decisions made by third parties.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
11. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be directed to our support team via the contact options on ReferView.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of ReferView shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Gurugram, Haryana.
